Thanks for the tips! How does one best get from Oulx rail station to Villeneuve? That last 35km is a bit far to walk. If it is downhill, maybe we can ski? Perhaps taxi (approximate cost?)? Bus? Your further tips will be greatly appreciated!
There is a bus at Oulx that goes to Briancon. It meets all the TGV trains that go between Milan and Paris, so it is not that frequent. I believe the cost is about 5€
Following tip from the Office du Tourisme de Serre Chevalier I found: There is bus a few times per day from Oulx to Briancon. Appears to meet TGV from Paris to Milan. 16.80€ round trip. Schedule here:

Local shuttle/taxi from Briancon to other villages around Serree-Chevalier.
Rick, I believe we met back in April 2007 at the cafe by the Pontillas lift. I was with my family and possibly had my Norwegian Elkhound dog. We talked about property buying and you had your daughter with you. Anyway, we’re coming back to ski w/c 16 Feb so we may catch up with you one night in the Grotte if you’re playing/chillin’. We are still looking by the way. Best wishes, Steve
Hi there
I am trying to work out a way of getting from Argentiere, Chamonix, to Serre Chevalier. Do you have any suggestions of buses, trains, etc ?
Thanks
Oli
Hi Oli, the only times I have ever done that is by car. The problem with Serre Chevalier (in the winter) is the only way into it by road is from Italy (Turin Direction) or the Grenoble/Lyon direction. The train unfortunately stops at Briancon and you can only approach from the South via Gap. I’ll try and find out more about how to do this.
