After taking my Mum and Dad back to Stoke-on-Trent from Serre Chevalier it is now time for me to go home.
My plan so far has gone slightly wrong, I meant to have a fairly mellow night in Berkhamsted last night, but it went slightly off piste when I met my friends Andy and Adam, ah well.
Anyway it is just way to far to drive to Serre Chevalier in one go so I have booked a Norfolkline Dover Dunkirk ferry at 6pm today and a F1 hotel in Arras for tonight. Norfolkine have increased their fares a bit because of the volcanic ash, but there was availability throughout the day. SeaFrance only had either early or late sailings today and P & O’s site had crashed, so yet again Norfolkline it is.
Right then before I leave the UK I am going to have a greasy spoon breakfast from The Yeovil Cafe in Berkhamsted.
