If you have a French friend who lives in France, or just someone you know who lives in France and you want to wind them up, the best time is between 8.10 and 8.30pm Monday to Friday.
The nation stops to watch Plus belle la Vie (PBLV), a sort of Eastenders set in Marseille that isn’t terminally depressing – at least not yet.
I haven’t really got a clue what goes on, as I haven’t yet sucummed to this clearly fascinating world set around a bar that the rich and not so rich frequent. If I had to guess what goes on it’s that they all seem to shag each other behind each others backs then get found out, do some crying and start shagging someone else and occasionally steal a car, or their teenage son steals a car.
Either way the world stops at 8.10pm, I’m not saying you should but if you were thinking of invading France (again) that would be the time to do it, it’s not just les femmes who watch, even blokes, so you can tell there are some low cut tops in it, meaning the cops and the army will all be crowded around the set at that time.
Actually now I think of it maybe a bank robbery would work, talking of which a blague in French is a joke that borders on a wind up, which must be where the robbery style blagg comes from, mmm, that’s interesting.
Just a notice that today there will not be any mention of the southern French ski station of Serre Chevalier that has 250km of pistes and 300 days of sunshine to get noticed by the search engines, as there is no connection to PBLV and I can’t see how to mention Serre Chevalier without it looking a bit awkward, so I won’t be mentioning Serre Chevalier at all, not even to say a lot of people in Serre Chevalier watch Plus Belle la Vie.
End.

To clarify the situation, there will be no comments about Serre Chevalier today either.
