Yesterday was quite exciting as a JCB turned up and dug out huge great trench where the foundations of the new wall.
Incidently the multimillionaire James C Bamford is from Stoke-on-Trent as I am. Oddly enough I have sat on his lap! This isn’t quite as weird as it sounds as I was 6 years old and he was dressed as Santa Claus (mind you it was in April?).
JCB headquarters are near Alton Towers in a place called Uttoxeter, which is about 1450km from Serre Chevalier.
