It’s a bit further afield and has nothing to do with the conditions in springtime, sunny Serre Chevalier, but a friend of mine is in Bangkok and has been taking photos of the authorities getting ready for confrontations with any “Red Shirts”.

s you can see we have the one thing the police all round the world seem to have in common – the love of a good doughnut, taken just of Silom Road, and the second a rather fetching army man, who has clearly upgraded his kit at great personal expense – but doesn’t he look fabulous?
