The circus comes to town

by Fergus Rainbow on May 19, 2010

It’s rather quaint and old fashioned, but the circus has come to town, so that’s the excitement for today.

If you hurry you’ll just make it, but there is another show tomorrow, it promises fun, excitement and “live animals”, so much better than just watching a bunch of animal cadavres, even with a pokey stick they just don’t give the feeback of the still living kind.

There are posters of lions and tigers, but it’s a couple of Shetland ponies and two lammas in the field, so I guess I’ll have to temper my general disapproval of such things. This made me wonder how we can tolerate the captivity of certain kinds of animal, but can’t abide it for others. Still on a positive note those attention seekers at Peta (ooh look at me I’m naked and not eating meat) won’t be here.

What am I saying? Naked show offs urging a boycott trumps circus anyday, I’ll have to contact them in disgust – send us a couple of naked tarts, we’ve got a circus to deal with.

Anyway this is what Serre Chevalier gets up to when you’re not here, I’ll try and get a pic later – if you don’t believe me – and post it, it’s not a thousand words, but it will be of a big red and yellow striped tent on the car park that is just under the Aya ski lift.
