I’m quite liking living in Serre Chevalier, it is quieter than London and Hong Kong to be sure, but one just adjusts to the level.
The level I reached yesterday was maybe a shade under 2,000m, I went for a lovely hike above Monetier up the non-ski lift side of the valley, the Puy de Crow, but not spelt like that.
It was a hike ’cause we wandered into a brier patch and had to jump across a little stream, but it is a walk if you stay on the path.
It’s just lovely having the opportunity to have the time to do this, quite took my mind off the fact the bank is going to take two months to tell us if we can get more money to finish our flat – doesn’t matter how much you think you’ve got the luxury of time, the bankers always manage to trump it.
