The sun is now shining more often than not, which means i finally got on the hill when it was nice. Went up on Friday and it was lovely. Hardly anyone was around and higher up the snow was really nice, hard and fast. Lower down it was a little too hard but still pretty good. Today, again, hard up top but a little slushy lower down. With no snow predicted for a while, lets hope its lasts and it doesnt get too hot.
The picture is of a place past Monetier, which locals im sure will recognise. Aaron would like to know, if anyone can help, is this natural or man made?

Not entirely sure about the thing there, but it’s there in the summer. I think it’s just a weird extraordinary thing caused by all that sliding scree up there. Look how weird it looks up in the Col D’Isoard for example.
Thanks for the post btw Gail.
