Be 404
A while ago I helped flog a friend’s Peugot Plateau 404 from 1977 online, I didn’t say so at the time but it was rather “rustic” as they’d kindly say.
Well in my various sojourns around the internet I found some vintage car ads that might be described as “sexist” by birds. One of these ads, see below, was in fact for a Peugot 404, which I reproduce here.

As you might notice there is rather a difference between a brand spanking new model and my mate’s old banger that he’d found in a barn somewhere in Serre Chevalier.
He even said it was in as good condition as it was as these mountain folk only used it half the year as it was snow-bound over the winter.
You live and learn eh?
