At Snowgums Apartments we now have solar panels producing all our hot water spring through summer and into the autumn, and contributing to what we need in the winter.
Here are some photos of them being installed and put in place here.
The reason the shades are because we have TOO MUCH sunshine in the summer!
So what is a Snowgum? – Snowgum is the name of the distinctive and beautiful eucalyptus tree that grows in the Australian high country, or Australian Alps.
Skiing and hiking under snowgums, a unique experience, was the inspiration for the name of our old farmhouse, Snowgums, in the southern French Alps.
Snowgums has self-catering apartments in a beautiful old farmhouse, Snowgums, on the edge of Briancon, Serre Chevalier, in the French Alps.
Snowgums is an inaugural member of Sawday’s Ethical Collection and appears in Sawday’s French Self-Catering with a covetted Environment stamp in recognition of our environmental initiatives.
