For anyone looking for the old Caravaneige in Chantemerle – it’s not there anymore and hasn’t been for a few years now. In it’s place is now the Parc Municipal des Colombiers. I was worried about this initially, you see I did spend my first winter season here in a caravan, so I have a soft spot for it. However, I didn’t need to worry as it’s pretty fab.
There is a big climbing frame with slides and stuff on it, optionally for a fee is the bouncy castles et al. My daughter has a ‘holiday school’ thing going on there during the summer which is pretty cool too.
So it looks like the Parc Municipal des Colombiers is here to stay, and it will hopefully be a long time before it gets bulldozered and turned into another apartment block.
