Well i thought it was all over, and then last week it snowed a lot, even snowing down in the valley. I finally got out on a bluebird day with a bit of untracked powder. It got warm again, and then it snowed 65cms Saturday, with a bit more on Sunday. They started blowing the snow off around 4.30 am. A tad scarey when incorporated into my dreams. I got out first thing on Sunday, only to find the mountain virtually shut. I did get first runs down the Marteau and the Casse du boeuf, hardly extreme, and i didnt really turn, as it was so deep and heavy, but hey, i felt good.
Since then we’ve had glorious sunshine, obviously when i was working, and then on the day off, it was cloudy and dull. Its amazing how much snow is still on the hill, its getting very sticky though. Proper leg breaking stuff, as often you just stop when not expecting it. Today is grim again, but im working so i dont care! As long as its sunny for birthday celebrations on Saturday and ladies rugby tournament on Sunday (we start at 2pm, please come and support us), thankyou weather gods.
