It’s a bit of a sad day today, the local community runs a sort of all day child storage thing called La Ruche and it’s the last day today.
It gets worse, the schools go back proper on Thursday so next week you can’t send the little angels off to vex someone else, for either half or a full day.
The good thing about La Ruche is it does mean summer visitors to Serre Chevalier can come to do something like throw themselves down a mountain on a bike or take a raft down the river knowing they can bring kids who will be entertained during this time.
Activities include going on a horse, picnics, er picnics, that sort of thing.
It’s just a shame this is not promoted as it really is a good service, who knows maybe next year we’ll get all the info up at the beginning of the season, it certainly opens up the valley to greater use.
