I like to bang on about the topic of back-scatter, full body scanners being rolled out to “prevent terrorism” or some such nonsense.
Rick and I joust and foil over this issue, I reckon it stands to reason that a wave-length between infra-red and microwaves would probably be harmeful as those either side are. Rick is yet to be swayed – but we encourage open debate here at Serre Chevalier.org.
Anyway here is a Daily Mail article that pretty much says these machines “could” give you cancer.
It seems like these machines are only in the big international airports with Grenoble and Turin, the two airports that are best for visiting Serre Chevalier, so far bereft of these devices.
I dread to think of the nightmare Stanstead will be with these things included. I ain’t going through neither will my kids, just another reason to keep us at home – which I suspect is the ultimate goal. So it’ll be annoying me getting tutted at by people whom I’m holding up. I just wonder if I’ll cave to the peer-pressure and irradiate my kids? The people who really run the show are counting on it.

Mobile telephones, wifi, pylons and transformers, microwaves, not to mention drinking, smoking and eating red meat – just thought I would add a few more cancer causing things to your avoid list! I suggest your dentist’s and doctor’s x-rays should be avoided too or is this whole debate not about cancer but about civil liberties? Rubber glovers anybody?
