Should you find yourself walking along the path that runs from Monetier to Le Casset and you see a field marked off with pretty ribbons don’t go in it or let your dogs/ children in it.

Because we’re a bit rual there’s loads of blokes that hunt, the season seriously kicks off on the 12th, but there are some early game plans in places.

The marked off field is being used, as it is every year since time immermorial, for hunters to sight their rifles, so you might notice the loud cracks of rifles.

It’s not all hillbilly, this lot take it seriously and there’s no mound of beer bottles, so that’s nice.

Serre Chevalier will be alive with proper blokes roaming the hills looking for tasty, tasty meat – killing time before the ski season.
