This won’t just apply to Serre Chevalier, although that’s my first choice, this is good all over the world, whether it be Australia or even the Rockies.
For an extra four hours to spend skiing don’t do what I just did and waste that much of your life watching the films Kick Ass or 2012, two of the worst films I’ve seen in ages.
The former is just a nasty, potty mouthed gore-fest that probably seemed like a good idea on paper, a tale of a wanne-be super hero who inevitably gets embroiled with real life crime and a truly vicious cacophony of death meted out by an 11 year-old girl with a mouth like a docker. I just have no idea whom the makers were aiming this crap at.
The second flick is all about the end of the world as we know it, don’t get me wrong eschatology rather interests me, especially in these times, but watching this 2 1/2 hour romp made me think that it wouldn’t be so bad if the world was destroyed so I didn’t have to sit through all of it.
It’s like the Poseidon Adventure, but with a mirror image story arc.
Anyway I’ll be trying to save you even more time to spend on holiday, I’ve been given a stack of dubious DVDs to wade through, I’ve got five months to find six and a half days, I reckon it’s possibe – but it’s got to be worth a pint.
