The station of Serre Chevalier opens in just under three weeks on December 10th. This date might be a bit punchy, but there is already enough snow up there to allow the top section to open and once we get closer to the date the snow cannons will be fired up and the pistes back down to the village will be open. This is the beauty of Monetier being at 1500m, we get the best snow first.
It is the early bird that the ski pass people are cutting a deal for with that first week of 10-16 Dec being priced at Eur143.50, as opposed to Eur205. But will you take a punt?
Talking of which, for that week those kind people at Alice Apartments are offering a two double bedroom two bathroom luxury flat in the heart of Monetier for Eur600 and the three bedroom, three bathroom duplex in the same building for Eur900.
They are also offering check in the day before, ie the 9th Dec, as the arrival date in order to get a full days skiing in on the 10th and check out on the 17th to get a full day in on the 16th.
