Eyjafjallajokull roundup

by Fergus Rainbow on April 18, 2010

EyjafjallajokullWhilst my heart goes out to Rick trying to get his parents home at least he’ll be visiting exotic Stoke-on-Trent and home of Newky Brown ale, whey-ay Newcastle like, so it’s hard to feel too sorry for him.
Our sympathies should lie with the thousands, if not millions, of wee tots who will probably never recover from the cruelest blow of fate to land in their little lives if Hannah Montana/ Miley Cyrus can’t fly in to the UK to give her Tuesday concert.
Sure she’s probably an illuminati mind-controlled MK Ultra etc slave, but hey she’s just part of the programming.
Talking of hidden monsters, I just found this photo of the view down onto that pesky Icelandic volcano itself, Eyjafjallajokull, how fearsome does this look?
There is very little evidence of ash fallout in Serre Chevalier, some slush, some sun about five minutes of spitting rain, but no ash.

You got the wrong Newcastle there, Ferg – I’m not a bloody ‘thou shall have a little fishy on a dishy’ Geordie!
Newcastle-under-Lyme is the home of…well not many people, but almost, Robbie Williams (Burslem), Lemmy from Motorhead (Tunstall), Anthea Turner (Cellarhead), Gordon Banks (Stoke City FC) and me.
Popular beers here are Marstons Pedigree (Burton on Trent) and Bank’s Ales, not that Northern Pooftha Newkie Brown.

I stand corrected, but anything north of Regent’s Park is up north to me.
So many celebs, but you’re being too modest leaving one other name off that list Mr Lomas.
