EasyJet not flying to Turin

by Rick Lomas on September 19, 2010

Flights from Luton to TurinEasyJet are not flying to Turin anymore.  The last flight was in April, which was cancelled due to the volcanic ash.  The flights will not recommence for the winter season.

This is bad news for anyone looking to come to Serre Chevalier from the London area in the UK.  I used to live in Hertfordshire and so I have family and friends there, Luton was so convenient.  Not only that, but the EasyJet flights were always at very sociable times.

The demise of this route leaves just RyanAir going to Stanstead and British Airways going to Gatwick.  Thinking back, this is pretty much how it was about 6 or 7 years ago, EasyJet were a bit of a late comer for the Turin flights.

The other alternative is Grenoble, but if you are going to fly to Grenoble, I fear many may choose to go somewhere a bit more lively (and nearer) like Alpe d’Huez or Les Deux Alpes. As ever, The Alpine Transfer Company will be providing Serre Chevalier transfers, should you be a diehard Serre Chevalier fan.
