The 12th annual pub crawl took place yesterday. It is a mountain restaurant crawl really, where participants have an alcoholic beverage in each restaurant, 15 in all. Participants started at either the Station in Chantemerle or La Grotte in Villenueve for bacon butties and a beer. As soon as the lifts were open we all ventured up to Aravet and from there, travel everywhere, including Briancon and ending up in Monetier. It was a slow start and quite quickly we were behind. Not all managed to get the link over to Monetier, and even those that did, found the top 2 restaurants closed. We all went down to the base station for the last drink, then rushed to get the bus back for apres at The Station. Fortunately there were no major injuries, just soreness from falling over and a twisted knee being the sum total. Unfortunately due to the top restaurants in Monetier being closed it was an unsuccessful crawl. Oh well there is always next year.
