The Harper Brothers
- Guitar/Keys: Mike Sukov
- Guitar/Harp: Torchy Harper
- Bass: Ricky Mullet
- Drums: Jethro Ash
These lads have been around for sometime now but still put on probably the best show you'll see in the Alps. Politically incorrect, it may be, but the presence, humour and songs spanning 40 years all combine in an alcohol fuelled madness. Night-time shows not for the fainthearted, although the "Après" shows are not usually so over the top (tee hee!).
The Ska Bandits
- Vocals/Harp: Thuggs
- Drums: Tom Harker
- Guitars: Rankin' Reg
- Keyboards: Terry Ball
- Bass: Rudy Longman
- Brass on "In the city" Big Al Miles and Billy Blabble
You can't help but dance to ska music, that is the "stomp" version not the old-fashioned reggae style. This is ska music in a stomp style so, if you've ever danced to Madness / The Specials and wanted to hear more - it's your lucky day!
Sad Ugly Blokes
- Guitar: Clive Day
- Guitar: Mike Rollins
- Guitar: Niv Dyer
- Guitar: Ash Strain
This act sort of came about by accident. Various forms of these guys, who are all involved in other acts within the pub, combine in twos or threes to do après-ski shows with loads of local (and sometimes half-arsed) famous guests.
Après ski music should be fun and lively so we do ban slow or love songs because normally they are self-indulgent bollocks. Most every après ski we'll do live acoustic music - it's more laid back but it's still fun.
The Black and Blues Brothers
- Vocals: White Boy Blues and Black Boy Blues
- Guitar: Ash Strain Blues
- Bass: Dickie Mullet Blues
- Drums: Niven Bullshit Blues
- Key Brass: Mike Birdlike Blues and Kevin Ladyboy Blues
What a night! With a constant stream of special guests and all the songs from The Blues Brothers that you can't help dancing to, this is one hell of a show. If we can keep the keybrass players off the sauce it works out alright. We got the whole band from Alcoholics Anonymous and boy do they fit in at the Grotte!
Almost Abba
- Vocals: Frida Prisoners
- Vocals: Agnetha Feltchcock
- Vocals: Benny Von Crossroads
- Vocals: Bjørn Stupid
Abba tribute bands seem to be the thing at the moment so why shouldn't we have one? Great singing, songs you all know with the costumes and glitz that surround a night such as this. The only place you'll see this act is at the Grotte, so don't miss out on a great night of nostalgia.
Thanks to everyone who has helped and performed including;
Rick, Sue, Maria, Boro and all of the staff at the Grotte, Malika, Rod, George and all of the players and everyone who has been or will be a customer at the Grotte. Thanks to you all and keep up the good work!
Live and Shite at The Grotte is a fine example of how to get away with it as it was performed completely pissed by the regular groups and entertainers and recorded live at La Grotte Du Yeti, The best bar in Serre Chevalier.
The Grotte is situated under the L'Aravet télécabine in Serre Chevalier 1400, just next to the Mickey Piste and the half-pipe.
La Grotte du Yeti 4 Place de l’Aravet 05240 LA SALLE LES ALPES, France.
