The Rock Noir’s unique selling point is that it has geothermic heating. This is more common than you may imagine in France. The Rock Noir has a 20m deep source where it gets the heat from. This is very cool, very green and gives the right kind of signals.

The rooms look great at the Rock Noir
The hotel is described as a 4 star ’boutique’ hotel. The staff have always been reported to be helpful and friendly. As you would expect there is a luxurious restaurant and lounge bar. There is an indoor pool and sauna. Massage and other treatments are available.
The best feature of the Rock Noir has to be its location. It is literally less than one minute to the Aravet Bubble lift which will get you to 2000m in a few minutes. In the summer you can use the Casse du Boeuf chairlift which also has the facility to take your mountain bike up too.
For the skiers take a look at this video and see what a cool run it is from the Casse du Boeuf chairlift back down to L’Aravet. The final scene of the video is right by La Grotte, an excellent bar with live music. La Grotte is next to the Rock Noir Hotel.
Unless you are going down the apartment or chalet route, I don’t think you can get a better placed hotel than the Rock Noir.

As you would expect a hotel bar to be – pretty cool!
