The Hôtel Plein Sud is on the main road, the D1091 which runs through Chantemerle. Chantemerle is considered to be the main focal point of the Serre Chevalier Ski Station. To get to the ski slopes you need to cross the main road and then it’s just a 3 minute walk to either the 6 man chair lift or the high speed gondala, both of which will take you to the mid station at Serre Ratier.

Hôtel Plein Sud Restaurant
You will usually find quite an international bunch of staff working at the Plein Sud including British owner Lynne and the excellent chef from Essex, John. The Plein Sud has a really nice bar which is perfect for an après ski drink or aperitive. The bar gets used by locals too, so there’s usually a nice mix of people in there. The restaurant is good too, with superb food and friendly service.
One of the best features of this hotel is the large swimming pool that is open air in the summer, but is also used in the winter, thanks to the sliding transparent cover. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance from the hotel.
