I didn’t quite finished my blog from yesterday, but indeed I did arrive at Gare de Lyon Saint-Exupéry TGV at exactly 14:14 (I think) just as I was supposed to.
My purpose of this trip was to buy a car from a bloke who lives in Gemozac in the Poitou-Charente area which is right over the other side of France by La Rochelle. The plan was he drove it there and then he flew back to Bordeaux at 7:30pm. the plan worked pretty well, but the weather never picked up. Indeed it is still well raining today.
So the overall thing I found out yesterday is that for 30€ you can get from Serre Chevalier to Lyon Airport. The only realistic train is the one I took which leaves Briancon at 9:13 an gets to Lyon for 14:14. This is 5 hours against 2.5 hrs by Lyon Airport Transfer.
