Keep on the grass

If you feel like watching some skiing in these balmy summer months why not get yourself on the grass skiing tour which has just kicked off  in Cenkovice in the Czech Republic and then heads to Switzerland, Iran, Austria and finally Sestriere in Italy which will stage the finals from 18-19 September.

It might be a nice opportunity to see Iran before they nuke it, but Sestriere is (comparitively) round the corner from Serre Chevalier.

It amazes us happy few who live here year round how little is done through the summer, I’ve never been down a slope of those wheely things, but it looks nice.

Having said that when you see the pistes without a covering of snow they do look damn (excuse me) steep.
