What do you want?
It’s just dawned on me that people reading this might just want a weather forecast and snow review.
Oh the vanity of the man, I was quite happy, rambling is a strong word, opining? Perhaps that’s better, but it struck me like a cold front that this should be more about the conditions of the slopes rather than the world in general and how this affected the station.
Say it ain’t so. No offence to metrological agents, but I don’t want to do that, they all seem to fit into easily mocked genres these days – flouncy, ethnic – with accent, outré etc, when did that happen? I’m not even certain I even own a tie anymore – so once more back to the vanity.
I’m not saying I won’t give the snow facts out, but now the season is well underway I can see myself being rather limited by expectation to discuss the weather, I’m as English as the next man, but this is stereotyping to the nth degree.
Phew, that’s off my chest, just telling you I might wander off topic, and I’m not going to be restrained by even acknowledging there is “topic”.
There’s going to be more washing machine chat, a cheese off, a competition or two, restaurant reviews, a day out guide for all levels, maybe even some plugs for people we like. If you’ve got any special orders just ask.
And now the weather: it’s bright but damn cold, -9/ 11º at night, head hurting numbness when out skiing, tonight is forecast to hit -14º, but then, the big news is some serious snow heading our way Sunday and Monday.
The end.
Happy now?
