Ski Box Shuffle

Boxing Clever
It’s getting quite intolerable, nigh on two weeks to go and idle hands. Rather than succumb to the temptations of the devil there are all manner of distractions that one can say are productive, but really you’re just farting about and pretending it’s constructive.
Two weeks to go, tenterhooks, will it be snowing? It’s been off and on sunny throughout November. There is a cold wind, ooh a bit of hail, maybe sleet, that looks like snow up on L’Yret. It’s just a waiting game.
As of early December it’s getting worse and worse, which is better and better I guess. Because of Serre Chevalier’s north facing slopes it’s possible to see skiable snow down to maybe 1700/ 1800m, it’s still bare under that, but as winter unfurls that should close up, the next week will tell, and once it tells me I’ll tell you.
It’s a bit Martha Stuart but let me tell you what I’ve been doing to prepare for the ski season.
It’s not mundane it’s fun and necessary.
I have just sorted out my ski stuff. I got a big plastic box, 70 cm x 45 x 45, slightly tapering at the bottom, which has four rollers in it. It’s got maybe 15-20% opacity so I can see what’s in it, although as it’s my ski box I know what’s in really without looking, but that could be helpful for someone else wanting to get something out of the ski box, which has a tight fitting lid that secures with a blue latch system, one on either of the shorter sides.
Anyway I put my socks, gloves and thermal vests in it in order.
Told you I’d been busy.
