Getting to Serre Chevalier
A few questions about La Claire Fontaine apartment in Chantemerle:
Are there any pictures of inside the apartment?
- Not at the moment, but I’ll try and do some this weekend
We will be driving from Turin – what are the road conditions usually like and can you drive into the village?
- Yes it’s on the main RN91 Road so no problems there, occassionally it gets a bit snowy on the French / Italian border, but as it is such a main route, it is kept very clear.
Do we need to book ski school or will it be ok to do that when we arrive?
- You can do it when you arrive, but if you like you could make some enquiries first, we like these people for ski schools and ski coaching.
We are heading to Apt in Provence after skiing so were planning to drive to Gap – again not sure whether this is feasible in January.
- No problem, it’s all main roads which are kept well clear of snow.
Have to get this organized as we leave on Christmas Day – an Aussie family on tour!!
